About This Activity
Description
Internet Registration has not begun yet. Check Registration Dates in details.
This camp provides a unique fun activity with natural spacing and fresh air. Certified USA Swimming Coaches and American Red Cross Lifeguards with both pool and beach experience will lead the camp and will be on land and in the water to ensure safety.
Campers will play various fun beach games and recreational activities on land and in the water including swimming, sharks and minnows, running games, beach volleyball, beach exploration, beach safety and more! Activities each week are adjusted based on camper abilities and the weather. We’ll also travel to the bay side to explore the marine life which has been the highlight of each week.
Campers will be organized on the first day of camp after a swimming assessment. The first day of camp also includes name introductions and a safety meeting. Campers should arrive with their swimsuit on and sunscreen applied. Water shoes are highly recommended due to the nature of the beach. Campers may wear a swim shirt and they can also bring their goggles. A water bottle and light snack is also recommended. Beach camp runs Monday to Thursday 10 AM to 12 PM (Fridays are used as a rain date) at Schubert’s Beach on Long Beach Road, Nissequogue. Check in and pick up will be at the small gazebo closest to the beach.
