About this event

Description

We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

Experience the power and excitement of traditional Japanese drumming! Whether you’re a seasoned musician or a complete beginner, you’ll learn how to play these impressive instruments and perform dynamic rhythms with the group. Our expert instructor will guide you through basic techniques, gradually building up to more complex patterns and styles. The class is a great workout, too, so come ready to stretch and move. No prior experience is necessary, and we provide all the drums and equipment you need. Instructor: John Theine

Classes will meet at River Ridge High School. River Ridge High School is undergoing it’s 30-year renovations and is massively impacted by construction. The best way to get to room 608 is to turn south from Martin Way onto HOH Street (one stoplight East of River Ridge Dr. SE at the OBEE Credit Union) and then turn left at the new entrance to the school. Parking is in the gravel lot behind the school and signs will be out directing you to Room 608.
