About This Activity

Description

This program is for advanced students aged 12+ who want to learn and develop basic improvisational skills through instrumental performance. Students will learn to create jazz melodies at a simple harmonic level and how to improvise on common chord progressions, including blues and various standards. For more information email Jeff Kaser at jeffkaser@hotmail.com or http://westcoastclassical.org/All students are required to purchase Jamey Aebersold's Volume 54 "Maiden Voyage" book. All other materials will be provided.

Please note that as of February 8th, 2024 refunds will no longer be processed.
Parents/Guardians of minor children registered into Playhouse programs may wait on-site in a designated area. Designated areas include bench seating in the courtyard and outside classrooms.

Guests/Family members and program participants should not wander through the Playhouse. Offices, concessions, shop, and other secured areas are for Playhouse staff members only.
