About This Activity

Camp C.E.O Counselor in Training (C.I.T) Program is designed to give teenagers hands-on leadership experiences, opportunities to exercise maturity and assume real responsibilities, training in child care skills, and guidance in preparing a resume to be used with the staff member's application. (C.I.T) Program also provides numerous opportunities to earn Community Service Hours. This program is designed to provide a more fun, productive summer experience specifically to improve self-confidence, independence and leadership skills is hard to imagine! A typical day at camp involves, assisting or participating in S.T.E.A.M. based activities, sports, arts classes, being part of workshops and conversations with other junior counselors and campers (for example, you may volunteer to be a part of skits and entertainment for other campers). C.I.T. will assist the Junior Counselors and adult staff in programming. C.I.T.’s are expected to follow through on their commitments. C.I.T.’s should also be open-minded, flexible, excited to learn new things, and interested in being part of a diverse community. C.I.T’s must be at least 13 years old. Individuals who complete the program are eligible to become Junior Counselors for the following summer. There are a limited number of applicants accepted per week. All C.I.T.’s will receive an evaluation at the end of the week. Administrative staff will go over their performance and provide positive and constructive feedback. Our goal is to introduce and establish a positive experience for each C.I.T. C.I.T.’s will receive an incentive at the end of their session based upon their performance. C.I.T.'s should bring their own snacks and water to camp every day and either bring lunch or purchase our pizza lunch special. Cancellation Policy: All cancellations made over thirty (30) days prior to registered start date will result in a refund, less a $20 cancellation fee and initial registration processing fee.
