About This Activity
Explore characters, relationships, and actions while developing overall acting skills and confidence. Together students will explore scenes from famous plays and movies and try a hand at writing our own scripts, while learning valuable theatre skills like projection, memorization and physicality. The club will culminate in a showcase of works-in-progress for parents and friends. Miriam White currently works at TPS as the 8th Grade Capstone Advisor. Additionally, she co-directs the Theatre program at Greene Street Friends School, and is a long time professional actor in and around Philadelphia. Susannah Duncan leads theatre and language arts workshops in her role as an ASEP teacher, coaching students through writing and performing their own original plays. They are both excited to offer a club for middle school students after school. (Please note: There is no session on Oct 31 & Nov 28.)
