About This Activity
This club will utilize the ‘Coding in Minecraft’ curriculum, which is a computer science credential program with support delivered through Minecraft Education. The pathway is composed of four courses with teacher-graded micro-credentials which immerse students in a Minecraft world to develop and prove their coding skills. The Introduction and Intermediate courses are in block-based coding using Microsoft MakeCode. The Advanced courses are in text-based coding using either JavaScript or Python. The proctored online capstone credential exam proves students coding skills. Teyanie is TPS' STEAM Integration Specialist, who has worked as a robotics and STEAM instructor for several camps and the Steppingstone Scholars Organization. She is excited to step into a full-time teaching role where she can integrate science, technology, and engineering with other subject areas for students of all ages. (Please note: There is no session on Feb 20 & Mar 26.)
