What do you want to be when you grow up? A vet? A teacher? An astronaut? Did you know that it’s not just humans who have jobs? Some pets have jobs, too! Just like humans, it can take a lot of work (and studying!) to learn the skills needed to reach your goals. We’ll learn about what types of jobs are out there for pets, and how you can create a job for your pet to do at home. Animal Ed-Ventures Homeschool is a program developed for homeschool youth that incorporates humane education with STEAM concepts that are aligned with Arizona State standards. These interactive, science-focused education programs will inspire compassion and empathy towards animals and benefit the pets and people of our community. Animal Ed-Ventures Homeschool programs are held at AHS’ Campus for Compassion location the first and third Wednesday of each month. Each program is 1.5 hours and introduces a specific theme each month. We will be following CDC guidelines and all attendees will be required to wear masks. To protect the health of your family and our staff, we will maintain social distancing and instructors will also be temperature tested prior to the start of the program. Only the paid participant may attend with one optional adult. Unpaid siblings and additional guests will not be permitted to stay.
