*THIS CLASS IS FOR STUDENTS NOT ENROLLED IN EXTENDED DAY and takes place from 2:15pm-3:15pm* Club Scientific lessons help engage students in observation, measurement, identification of properties, and experimentation involving life, earth, and physical science concepts. Science was never this much fun! Class meets on 16 separate Wednesdays on the following dates: 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, & 5/18 PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT NO CLASSES WILL TAKE PLACE ON 5/25 or 6/1 Spring Session Project Themes: Launch Into Space - 3...2...1... BLAST OFF! In our space science unit, students will learn about how rockets fly, where they go, and what happens when they get to space. If your child loves space, this session is sure to delight and inspire! Veterinary Science - Who wouldn't want to be a veterinarian? They just get to play with puppies all day, right? Not quite, but pretty close! In this animal science unit, students will learn more about what Veterinarians do to help animals, study some basic animal anatomy, and even some first-aid tips for pets at home! Beach Bash - Let's face it, as soon as Spring Break is over, the only thing on student minds is Summer! So why fight it? This summer-themed unit is all about the things that make Summer... Summer! Students will learn about UV radiation, the changing of the seasons, and maybe even learn how to make the best sand-castle!
