About This Activity
Description
Learn the basics of sailing while developing skills to prepare for sailing with others at PYSF (Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation) and in the Bay Area. While no experience is necessary, sailors must be comfortable in the water while wearing a life jacket. This class serves as an introduction to double-handed sailing and Fleet Racing. Class Sessions are divided by age (11-13yo and 14yo+). This class precedes FJ Team Racing and 420 Intro. Boats provided. Please bring a water bottle, towel, and swimsuit (wetsuits are optional). Life jackets and helmets are provided if you do not have one.PYSF Scholarships are available to help PYSF achieve its mission to be a community sailing group that teaches sailing regardless of ability to pay.
