BayAreaChess combines fun and learning while promoting team spirit and an academic edge! Our chess program will cover the very basics for new students to the game and we can challenge more experienced players with more advanced concepts. Students will have the opportunity to learn the moves of the pieces, opening strategy, tactics, checkmates and endgame play with our top professional coaches. Students will also learn valuable life skills through chess; such as winning and losing with grace, sportsmanship, planning ahead and team spirit. Our mission is to transform and enrich the lives of students through chess. Acquire new knowledge, new experiences and new friends with Bay Area Chess!
Please bring a lunch. Snack options will be provided (we will never serve peanuts) along with Bay Area Chess shirts and end-of-camp prizes!
