Taught by some of the most experienced back-country guides, nature specialists, and primitive survival skills experts in the United States, Wilderskills Fall semester training program will help campers develop real-world outdoor guiding and adventure skills like:- Wilderness First Aid & Survival Techniques - Outdoor Cooking & Wild Foods - How To Research & Plan Outdoor Adventures - Plant Identification & Uses - How to make Improvised Primitive Emergency Shelters, Hiking Packs + Other Gear. - Traditional Outdoor Tool Construction & Methodologies - Wilderness Emergency Response Protocols - Back-country Navigation - Animal Sign, Tracking, & Behavior - How to prepare for All-weather adventures - Outdoor Games and Art Projects - Knife & Outdoor Tool Safety + Care - And more! :)
Outdoor time with WilderSkills also fosters HIGH VALUE SOFT SKILLS such as: Unstructured problem-solving capabilities, Independence and self-regulating behavior development, Critical early development physical strength & coordination, Self-expression, AND HOW TO HAVE FUN OUTDOORS IN REAL NATURE.
Covid-19 Requirements: Camp will adhere to State and County health and safety guidelines. Masks and physical distancing required. As with any group activities at present, this event carries some inherent risk related to Covid-19. We ask that all campers attend with a face covering/mask as well as a way to clean hands (like hand sanitizer). We also ask that if a camper becomes ill, that they do not attend that week of camp. If a camper or family member tests positive for covid-19, written permission from a medical provider indicating a negative test result for being or verification of no longer being required to quarantine post-illness is required in order to return to camp. In order to attend, we will also need parents to sign the attached waiver related to Covid-19.

What to bring to camp: - Signed Permission Waivers

- A snack + 2 Bottles of Water
- Weather appropriate layered clothing (A sweater, pants/shorts, close-toed shoes, etc.)
- Critical Medications (I.E. - Prescribed Epi-pens for life threatening allergies, etc. *Please put names on them)
- Face Cover
- Hand sanitizer
