About This Activity
Description
The telescope is one of many indispensable tools of the astronomer. With instruction and assistance from Imperial Centre science education staff, participants ages 7-12 years of age will build and learn how to operate their very own refracting telescope, useful for observing the moon and other celestial targets. Hands-on activities and topics will include use of a variety of telescopes and observing equipment, constellation identification, star charts, moon maps, and safety.
