In-Person registration onlyCompetitive Skills: Stroke Refinement
Ages: 6 years to 15 years
Prerequisites: Successfully pass or be competent in all skills and objectives Level 3. Participants must be able to perform the following skills independently: surface dives (feet & head first), sitting and kneeling dives (pools 9 feet or deeper), freestyle 25 yards, back glide with flutter kick 25 yards, backstroke 25 yards, tread water, elementary backstroke 25 yards, whip kick on front, introduction to breaststroke, dolphin kick 15 yards, butterfly arm coordination.
Objectives: This class is designed to refine participant?s strokes, increase endurance and to introduce new skills to prepare for the City of San Diego Recreational Level Swim Team. Skills: 100 yards each freestyle and backstroke, 50 yards breaststroke and 25 yards butterfly. Additional skills and topics included are competition starts and turns, swimming etiquette, and rules for competition; please contact pool staff for more information.

An appropriate swimsuit is required at all times. Use of goggles is recommended for this level It is important to enroll your child in the correct class; necessary transfers may result in the change of class days and times. There are NO REFUNDS.
