The city of San Diego Junior Pool Guard Program is a modified version of the American Red Cross' Junior Lifeguarding class. The City's program is designed to prepare children of all abilities to enter the City's WAVE/SAVE program once they become old enough. Participants will work towards being able to pass the Water Competency Sequence or the WAVE/SAVE tryout test. They will be introduced to the many important skills and aspects of being a Pool Guard.
