Participants must successfully pass or be competent in all skills and objectives in Level 3. Returning participants need to contact pool staff to ensure the correct prerequisite skills are listed on their SDRecConnect account otherwise, ActiveNet will not allow you to register for any upper level lessons). If this is your first time registering for lessons with the City of San Diego you will need to contact pool staff to schedule a swim assessment and if needed, help create an SDRecConnect account.Objectives: This class is designed to introduce the fundamental principles of water polo. Water polo strokes, endurance, rules, game mechanics, ball play, and team work are emphasized.Skills: 200 yards freestyle, treading water for 2 minutes, water polo stroke and backstroke, sculling, lunging, ball passing. Additional skills and topics included are rules of the game, game mechanics, ball play, and teamwork; please contact pool staff for more information.
