Youth Swim Team is a recreational swim program for youth 8 to 17 years old. This is a safe and quality program that is committed to introducing and developing basic competitive swim skills (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly) while promoting fun and team spirit. Swimmers participate in swim meet competitions with other City of San Diego swimming pools. Candidates must try out and obtain pool manager's approval prior to enrollment. Completion of Competitive Skills I is strongly recommended.
SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE SWIM TEAM TRYOUT IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR THE SWIM TEAM!
Tryout consist of demonstrating proficiency in all four competitive swim strokes (Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle).
Tryout swim distances:
15yds Butterfly, 25yds Backstroke, 25yds Breaststroke, 25yds Freestyle
Tryouts are Mon - Thurs at 5:15pm.
Swim team candidates must meet prerequisite prior to enrollment.
Patrons should put extra care into the selection of classes. There are NO REFUNDS. Full refunds will be granted only if class is cancelled by the Pool Manager.
