420's (Ages 11+, grouped accordingly). Designed for both beginner and intermediate sailors, this two-week 420 program introduces students to sailing and boat handling in a double-handed dinghy. Participants will learn essential skills including rigging and derigging, sailing terminology, points of sail, capsizing and recovery, tacking and gybing, teamwork as skipper and crew, and basic seamanship in a fun, supportive environment. This program is best suited for sailors ages 11 and up who are comfortable getting wet, righting a capsized boat, and eager to sail at higher speeds. Sailors who prefer a more stable, guided learning environment should consider the Mercury program. Participants are expected to wear sneakers and bring their own Flotation Device (C. G. approved life jacket). Fee (1-week session): $215.
Sailing Refund Policy: Please note, due to high demand, there will be no sailing refunds issued after May 20, 2026.
