Make Your Audition Song Pitch Perfect
Dates: August 9-September 13
Price: $50 per session
Instructor Steve McBride with The Little Theatre of Alexandria will help your child perfect their audition songbook. Vocal techniques for actors, dancers and singers will be taught in master class style sessions. After taking this class, your child will feel prepared to go to their next audition with total confidence.
Online Theatre and Visual Arts Camp
Dates: July 13-July 17
Campers will participate in both theatre camp and visual arts camp. During theatre camp, students will study the fundamentals of performance and hone their acting skills. At visual arts camp, campers will explore their inner artist as they work with a professional teaching artist to develop visual art skills.
Online Garage Band
Dates: June 4-July 30
Play, collaborate and create with others during these Thursday night garage band sessions. Every member of the band will get the chance to try out various instruments and roles, including electric guitar, keyboard and vocals. Students must have some prior experience with guitar, bass, keyboard or drums and are required to speak with teaching artist Chris Hudson prior to the first class.

In this virtual classroom, your child will learn to develop characters and scenes by thinking quick on their feet. Students will follow their creative instincts using improvisation techniques that spark imagination and promote teamwork.
Marc Tumminelli Song Workshop
Dates: June 8-June 15
During this song workshop, Broadway Workshop Director Marc Tumminelli will work with students on musical theatre audition technique. By the end of the workshop, all students will have new musical material that showcases the best of their talents and abilities.
Painting and Drawing Class
Ages: 2nd-5th grade
Dates: June 6-June 12
Join Mrs. Barthel of The Oakwood School and learn to paint and draw this summer. Students will have the opportunity to relax while sharpening their artistic abilities with colored pencils, watercolors, acrylic paints and more.
Ages: 5th-8th grade
Dates: June 8-July 2
In Brophy College Preparatory's Acting Class, students will learn the basics of acting, including improv games, funny scenes, character development, performing with others and how to use a monologue for auditions.
Virtual Digital Photography and Printmaking Class
Dates: June 29-July 3
In this summer intensive art camp, campers will explore photo image making while learning how their photographs can be made into printmaking artworks. Students will learn how light, perspective and composition work together to compose a successful photograph. Pictures will be edited in Adobe Photoshop and then manipulated through cyanotype and photo-transfer printmaking processes. The cost of camp includes all needed supplies, which will be mailed to your home prior to the start of class.
Learn to Paint Dogs and Cats
Date: June 28
Your young painter can join the Virginia Beach Art Center and learn to paint their pet. Students will learn to sketch in pencil and then paint their pet and the background on watercolor paper. Artists of all levels are welcome and will need a photo of their dog or cat, a pencil, eraser, paint brush, any type of paint and watercolor paper.
Project Runway- Quarantine Edition
Ages: 4th-6th grade
Date: June 8-June 12
Sign up for a week of fashion and fun! Using only materials found around the house, campers will design and construct their own mini collection of outfits and accessories for a model of their choosing. Each daily Zoom session brings a new challenge, with a culminating virtual runway show at the end of the week.
