This weekly offering is designed to complement the current Corvallis School District plan for online and hybrid learning. Scheduled to be available for cohorts A, B and C. This offering may be expanded beyond this date depending on district plans and demand. NOTE: NO Class the week of May 17-21. This program is part of a weekly activity series that provides a different theme activity each day of the week. We will keep groups stable through the 6 weeks, run camp 100% outside and follow state guidelines for Covid 19 using instructors with experience and training (from our Summer Camps). Parents will drop off and pick up each week. Nature Arts Students go out in the field and explore through experiential learning why primitive societies have incorporated art into functional tools, culture, storytelling and myth. Found materials on site (wood, earthen clay, feathers, stones, shells, and minerals) for sculpture, pottery, mask-making, jewelry, and the production of natural dyes for painting and coloring your creations. Learn various cordage tying styles with natural fibers, and create primitive jewelry to take home! Please come dressed appropriately with water and snacks. Phones are allowed for parent communication and picture taking only. Call Dan at 5417600774 for more info.
