Does your puppy/dog need to learn manners? If so, then here's the solution!
Bring Fido out to this class where he/she will learn basic cues and enjoy socializing with other dogs.
This class is for the dog just starting to learn (but is too old for Puppy Kindergarten) or for the dog that knows a few cues but isn't quite ready for the Canine Good Citizen class yet.
Cues that are focused on are: sit, come, down, stay, walking on a leash without pulling, and general good manners.
As we're working on learning these cues why not have some fun?!?
The dog sport of Rally will also be introduced in this class.
In Rally, the dog and Handler work together to complete a series of signs with simple cues on them, such as STOP-SIT, or SIT-DOWN-SIT. As the dog's (and handler's) skills get better, the signs can become more interesting.
Any dog, whether they're 5 months or 15 years, can attend.
When you come to class please remember to have:
- a plain buckle or clip collar (no choke or prong collars),
- a 4' or 6' flat leash. 4' is preferred - no flexi (extendable) leashes,
- LOTS of small soft treats or a toy to reward your dog with.
- Also, a mat for your dog to sit on is recommended (like a bath mat with a non-skid backing) - the facility has a concrete floor.
- If needed, harness or gentle leader is acceptable during class.
Must bring current vaccination record to first class.
