About This Activity
Who: participants with autism who are 15 and older What: Co-ed Basketball Our coaches and staff will use their expertise, modeling, and visuals to teach skills and understanding of the game. We hope to increase our athlete’s physical endurance and coordination, attention, and social interaction through team play. Where: 1537 Laskin Road Virginia Beach, VA 23452 When: January 8, 2022, to March 5, 2022- NO BASKETBALL FEB 12 Young baller's- 9:15-10:30 Old baller's- 10:45-12:00 Why: Our goal is for every child to walk out of the gym with a smile on their face, but we also hope to increase our athlete’s physical endurance, coordination, attention, and social interaction through team play. COVID UPDATES: We are encouraging mask wearing while in close proximity with other players and staff. If your child can wear a mask, please wear a mask. Staff will wear a mask at all times. Parents or caregivers will be required to attend, this is not a “drop-off” activity. Please remember to be socially distant as parents observe from the sideline. FACT will limit volunteers for this season. Temperatures and daily health checks will be conducted at the start of every session. All CDC Guidelines will be followed and enforced.
