Our Elementary School Camp is for elementary age kids who have at least completed 1st Grade by the summer and are able to read and write in English. Our curriculum blends classroom study of the German language in the morning with engaging activities in the afternoon. Morning German classes are separated into language level groups with max. 12 students and one teacher. In the classroom, instructors teach exclusively in German, no matter the level of German. Afternoon Activities are max. 12 students and one teacher. Activities are exciting, active, and social, and offer a "lived" experience of German. Instructors speak mostly German, with a sprinkling of English to ensure everyone can follow along. Our camp is a two week-long or multi-week intensive immersive German environment that brings students closer to the language and culture, and to their peers who share a connection with or interest in German. AM Camp: German Language Classes For the age group 6-9, we offer three language groups in the morning: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Groups are capped at 12 students each with one instructor. All materials are provided. PM Camp: Afternoon Activities German language classes in the morning are complemented by a fun-filled afternoon program that introduces students to sports, music, art and other activities mostly in German and some English. Different activities are offered each day. Due to Covid regulations students must not mix with other groups thus this year they will not be able to choose their individual afternoon activities. All children need to be and stay in the same cohort. Groups are capped at 12 students each, they stay with the same classmates at all times. There will be no snack offered other than occasional popsicles since it can get very hot in the summer.
